Katrina Kaif has learnt all the tips and tricks of trade in a very short span. She is eyeing all the big movies and is bagging them with ease now. Katrina, who was in the favorite list of Akshay Kumarearlier, successfully grabbed 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' opposite Hrithik Roshan. Then she got the female lead in three huge Yash Raj Productions opposite the three mega Khans of the industry. She starred in 'Ek Tha Tiger' opposite Salman Khan, 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' opposite SRK and has finished the shoot for 'Dhoom 3' opposite Aamir Khan. While most of the top heroines are playing safe having 4-5 films under their kitty, Katrina currently has signed only one movie opposite Hrithik Roshan which is going to be the remake of Tom Cruise's 'Day and Knight'. She was indeed waiting for the big one to come her way. And here the news goes , Katrina Kaif has been finalized to play the main lead oppositeShah Rukh Khan in Farah Khan's 'Happy New Year'. Abhishek Bachchan will play the second male lead in the movie.

There were news earlier that Priyanka Chopra will play the main lead opposite SRK, but the project has landed in the kitty of Katrina. This is the third time that Farah Khan is working with SRK after her debut 'Main Hoon Na' and 'Om Shanti Om'. Both had a fall out and Farah went ahead and directed a disaster 'Tees Maar Khan' with Akshay Kumar. Shoot of 'Happy New Year' will start from April 2013 which will collide with SRK's commitments for IPL. Another blockbuster for Katrina is guaranteed though.
