Huma Qureshi is an Indian actress and model. She has worked in theatre productions in Delhi and went on to act in television advertisements. She made her feature film debut in Anurag Kashyap's Gangs of Wasseypur.
She has been making news ever since the time she took her first step in Bollywood. This time round, she is in the news because she has replaced Kangna Ranaut in Dedh Ishqiya, the sequel of the sleeper hit Ishqiya, which starred Vidya Balan, Arshad Warsi and Naseeruddin Shah.
As per the buzz, Huma was signed by the makers as they felt that she fitted the role. Rumors have it that Richa Chadha was also a front-runner for the same role.
The film that also stars Madhuri Dixit will go on floor in February.
