ABCD doing better than Akshay's Special 26 at BO



Mumbai: Two big and much-hyped Hindi movies like ABCD - Any Body Can Dance and Special 26 have hit the marquee today. Out of these Bollywood flicks, the Prabhu Deva and Ganesh Acharya starrer dance film has started with a bang at the Indian Box Office, while the Akshay Kumar and Kajal Aggarwal starrer heist drama opened to an average response. Both are expected to show a big jump by the end of the day. ABCD - Any Body Can Dance is the first Indian dance 3D film and its promo videos and posters had created a lot of curiosity among the young film goers. In addition, the producers of the movie had massive promotion for it prior its release and stars like Prabhu Deva and Remo D'Souza had appeared on several popular TV shows to promote it. Trade analysts had predictable that it would get good opening. As expected, ABCD - Any Body Can Dance has had a rocking start at the domestic Box Office. The movie has registered an average of 55% to 70% occupancy at both single screens and multiplexes across the country in the morning and matinee shows on the first day of its release. Since the film has garnered positive review from film critics, trade experts feel that its business will improve considerably at the end of the day and over the weekend. Whereas another new release Special 26 is also a much-hyped and most-awaited movie. But the makers of this film also had huge amount of promotions, and its promos had soared up its hype to the sky high. Trade analysts had predictable that the heist drama would open to fabulous response at the Box Office. But Special 26 has started on a slow note at the domestic Box Office. The movie has registered an average of 45% to 60% occupancy at both single screens and multiplexes across the country in the morning and matinee shows on the first day of its release.
