Director duo Abbas-Mustan are back with sequel to their 2008 hit film Race 2 which releases today. Saif Ali Khan and Anil Kapoor, who were also seen in Race, are joined by John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez and Ameesha Patel in this edition.
Race 2 begins where the first part ended with Ranveer (Saif Ali Khan) and Sonia (played by Bipasha Basu) in love and living together. Sonia is mysteriously killed and, like in the previous story, the plot of Race 2 takes many twist and turns.
While Saif Ali Khan is portraying the same character as he did in the last film, John Abraham plays mafia don Armaan Malik and Jacqueline plays his girlfriend. Anil Kapoor portrays the role of a cop in the sequel.
Deepika, who has already received praise for her look in the film, said in an interview that the action-packed film also has dollops of glamour.
Race 2 releases in 50 countries, including Morocco and Vietnam, today.
