Box office: Saheb Biwi & Gangster returns 1st week net collection

According to bollywood karma the Hindi movie Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns (SBAGR) has concluded the first week with a decent collection at the Indian Box Office. The film starring Jimmy Shergill, Mahie Gill, Irrfan Khan and Soha Ali Khan in leads, has topped the domestic business chart. It has beaten the lifetime collection record of Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster in just three days. A sequel to the 2011 film Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster opened with a poor response, but it picked up well over the weekend. Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns did good business in Mumbai, Delhi, UP, Punjab and Eastern circuits. It has collected Rs 12.75 crores nett at the domestic Box Office in the first weekend. Its breakup is Rs 3.50 cr on Fri, Rs 4.25 cr on Sat and Rs 5 cr on Sun. The Tigmanshu Dhulia-directed flick was expected to cross Rs 20 crore mark in the first week, it has failed to do so. It showed considerable amount of dip on the weekdays that was due to the examination time for all schools and colleges. Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns has collected another Rs 5.5 crores at the desi Box Office in the first week, taking its total to Rs 18.25 crores nett. However, three new Hindi movies like Mere Dad Ki Maruti, Jolly LLB and 3G have hit the screens today. Trade experts feel that they would certainly slow down the collection of Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns. It should be seen how the film will perform in the second week.
