"I, Me aur Main" Movie's Review

Here are the reviews for 'I, Me Aur Main':

Ratings:---- Review By: Sneha May Francis Site: Emirates24by7

Love makes the world go round, they say, but in ‘I, Me Aur Main’ it made us go round in circles, turning the two-hour lock-up in the theatre dizzying and exhaustive. The sheer inanity of the plot, where three lives get knotted over matters of the heart and their differences resolved in an impenetrable, hasty manner, is hard to absorb. Surely, debutant director Kapil Sharma could’ve found a simpler love tale to pitch. Kapil tries to do the unimaginable and complicates his own efforts by picking a plot that’s illogical, sluggish, inconsistent and unrealistic. And, to his disadvantage his good-lookers aren’t great performers. If anything, ‘I, Me Aur Main’ is confused about what it actually sets out to do.

Chennai Express will be released on this Eid

Salman Khan has ruled the box office for the past few years with big releases on Eid. But things are all set to change this year.

According to reports, Salman's arch-rival Shah Rukh Khan's ChennaiExpress directed by Rohit Shetty will release on Eid this year.

Reports further suggest that the Dabangg actor, who has been busy with CCL and other professional commitments, may not be able to complete the movie before the festival season.

For the past three years, Salman's films Wanted, Bodyguard and Ek Tha Tiger have all released on Eid and hit a bulls eye.

SRK's big films have always released during Diwali but it could be the first time that King Khan is aiming to woo his fans on Eid.

Sunny Deol’s son Karan has joined the industry as well ?

The Deols are no strangers to Bollywood, and now it seems like Sunny Deol’s son Karan has joined the industry as well. The young Deol is already working as an assistant director to Sangeeth Sivan, and has even lent his voice to one of the songs in the film.
The soundtrack of the second installment of the Deols’ 2011 hit Yamla Pagla Deewana includes the number. “There is an interesting song, which I can’t really speak about at length right now. My son sings, writes lyrics and he has been rapping too, so I asked him to contribute. He has written a part of the song and has sung it as well,” says Sunny, who has also sung a line in the track with brother Bobby.
The concerned father is sure that Karan, 17, has a lot to learn, and has just started introducing him to every aspect of filmmaking before he launches him. “We are going to launch him soon, so we want him to be comfortable before that,” says Sunny.
Giving a sneak preview of the song, he says, “It’s a number for 99 per cent of the people who identify with papa (Dharmendra), in that they want to dance but can’t do it very well. Everyone can’t be Hrithik Roshan.” The song featuring Sunny, Bobby and Dharmendra is likely to be choreographed by Remo D’Souza. “I think he is one of the few choreographers who is also a successful director,” says Sunny Deol.

The Attacks of 26/11 has been banned by UAE Government

By Hindustan Times
Ram Gopal Varma's ambitious project The Attacks of 26/11, a movie based on the 26/11 Mumbai terror strike, has hit a rough patch with the UAE censor board. The film has been rejected after it was reviewed by the Dubai censors.
"It is a well known fact that the 10 terrorists from the terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba from Pakistan had attacked Mumbai, and that is something that the Dubai censors have been shying away from showing," said a source from the film's team.
The Bahrain and the Oman governments, however, have cleared the film and viewers from Emirates may travel to Oman over the weekend to watch the movie, the source added.
The 2008 terror attack, which shook Mumbai, left 166 people dead. In the film, Nana Patekar plays a joint commissioner of police facing an enquiry over the attacks, while Sanjeev Jaiswal will be seen as terrorist Ajmal Kasab, whose death sentence was executed recently. The film, releasing in India tomorrow, also features Atul Kulkarni and Ganesh Yadav.
"The Attacks of 26/11" was also specially screened for politicians, at the capital's Films Division Auditorium at Mahadev Road Wednesday. L.K Advani was present along with various other leaders, including Shahnawaz Hussain, Sanjay Nirupam, Rajeev Pratap Rudy, Naveen Jindal, Balbir Punj, Raj Babbar and Ram Vilas Paswan.

Huma Qureshi and Ek thi Daayan

Advertisements

-->

Huma Qureshi had not yet taken herself very seriously when she signed on the dotted line for Anurag Kashyap’s highly acclaimed drama Gangs Of Wasseypur.Arey, hum toh aise he maze kar kar ke yeh film bana rahe they (we were just having fun while shooting this film), though Anurag had tremendous confidence in the film. But when I look back now, I tell myself ‘Oh my God, I am a part of such a wonderful project!’ I could not have asked for more,” said Huma when we bumped into her at the screening of GOW part 2.
But even today, after proving that her debut performance was not just a flash in the pan by portraying another interesting role in Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana, and now all set with her new film Ek Thi Daayan, Huma is just the same. “I can’t plan my films. I love acting and that’s what I do, honestly. And I do it honestly not because the movie business – just like any other business – is a serious commercial affair, but because I love acting. I love the energy I feel when I am there, preparing for my next shot,” confesses Huma.
Ek Thi Daayan is very dark!
Talking about her new supernatural thriller Ek Thi Daayan- co-starring Emraan Hashmi and Konkona Sen Sharma – the young star maintains that it’s a quirky film.“ I am confident that you would not want to know the surprise element of the film. It will ruin the whole ( movie watching) experience, plus I am not allowed to talk much about the plot. But trust me, just like my earlier films, this flick is very quirky. In fact, this one is highly unpredictable and very dark. There’s enough in this film to keep you hooked and entertained. So keep guessing!”
Stardom is overwhelming
And guessing we are, not just about the story of Ek Thi Daayan and Huma’s intriguing character in it, but also about how the gal is handling her new found stardom. “Stardom…what’s that? Seriously speaking, though I am enjoying it (attention) to the hilt and love signing autographs, I think this whole so called ‘stardom’ thing has not sunk in yet. I can’t say no when fans ask me to pose with them and even enjoy signing autographs. But somehow I don’t feel like a star. The attention I am getting not only from fans but from the fraternity is overwhelming. Let me come out of this shock that it is happening to me first, before I am able to think about stardom,” she says with a loud giggle.
I am comfortable in my own skin
On the one hand Huma is getting appreciation for her craft, but on the other, her presence in the media glare has brought the 26-year-old under tremendous scrutiny. Her red carpet appearances are discussed more for her voluptuousness than what she wears, but that doesn’t bother the girl. “I never thought I will be accepted easily and will be appreciated so much. It was an impossible thing for someone who was considered obese and a geek for a very long time. I am comfortable in my own skin and dress just the way I like to. There’s no fashion mantra for me, but yes, comfort is the most important factor,” admits Huma.
Emraan is fun to be with
Films are keeping Huma occupied and she’s has decided to better her craft with every project. And one such co-star Huma acknowledges learning from is Emraan Hashmi. Earlier touted as the kissie-boy of B-town, Emraan has now become a huge saleable factor at the box office. Talking about her co-star who has grown from strength to strength, Huma maintains that it was a wonderful experience working with Hashmi in Ek Thi Daayan. “He’s fun to be with, but he’s very serious about his job. He’s certainly built a brand for himself and knows what makes him stand out. I had a good time working with Emraan. He would play pranks on the sets. But working with Emraan and Konkona was fun,” she says.

Kai Po Che! First Weekend Net Collections

kaipoche net business

Mumbai: Director Abhishek Kapoor's third directorial venture Kai Po Che has struck the gold at the Indian
Box Office in the first weekend. The Sushant Singh Rajput and Raj Kumar Yadav starrer has topped the collection chart, beating another new release of this week, Zila Ghaziabad. Trade experts say that it is an excellent opening for a film that does not boast of star names. Having fantastic pre-release promotion, Kai Po Che, which released in 1,000 screens in India on February 22, registered very good occupancy at the multiplexes in major cities like Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Pune, Delhi-NCR, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Indore, Bhopal, Jaipur and Bangalore, when compared to the single screens, where it had an average amount of footfalls. Youth are the one, who seemed to be the most impressed by the film. As expected, Kai Po Che showed a big jump on Saturday. Its business was almost doubled in Kolkata, Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi and it had a huge growth in other places. The movie showed a massive growth on Sunday too. It has collected approximately Rs 18.10 crores nett in the first weekend. Its breakup is Rs 4.50 cr on Fri, Rs 6.25 cr on Sat and Rs 7.35 cr on Sun. However, many had thought that Kai Po Che would stoop down before Zila Ghaziabad, which stars leading actors like Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi and Vivek Oberoi, but the latter got eclipsed by the Kai Po Che wave across major circuits. Stay locked to this place to read latest Box Office.

Zilla Ghaziabad 1st weekend Net collections

Mumbai: Bollywood movie Zilla Ghaziabad has done a decent collection at the Indian Box Office in the first weekend. But the Sanjay Dutt, Vivek Oberoi and Arsad Warsi starrer has failed to beat another new release Kai Po Che starring new comers like Sushant Singh Rajput and Rajkumar Yadav in leads.
It has landed in the second place, while the latter topped the collection chart. Zilla Ghaziabad, which released in a large number of theatres on February 22, registered very good occupancy in single screens across the country on Friday, while it had very low response in multiplexes. Overall, the movie has performed very well in mass circuits like Bihar, CP, CI, UP and Rajasthan. The Anand Kumar directed flick was expected to show a big jump on Saturday. Instead of going upwards, Zilla Ghaziabad witnessed decline in its business on the second day. And on Sunday, the business of the movie went up, but it was below the expected mark. It has collected Rs 10.75 crores nett at the domestic Box Office in the first weekend. Its breakup is Rs 3.50 cr on Fri, Rs 3.25 cr on Sat and Rs 4 cr on Sun. However, Zilla Ghaziabad was a most-awaited action entertainer of the year 2012. The movie boasts of popular star cast and its makers had massive promotions for it. But the film got negative reviews from the film critics. Besides this, it got eclipsed by the new flick Kai Po Che wave across major circuits. Trade experts feel that these two reasons cost its producers a lot.

Sunny Leone Chose to do Item Number for Shootout At Wadala

-->
.

The Jism 2 babe who had earlier denied doing an item number has finally made up her mind and is all set to shake her luscious booty in Ekta Kapoor’s action flick. Has she succumbed to the TV czarina’s pressure?

Last year, Sunny Leone made news by performing on popular Bollywood item numbers on New Year’s Eve. Obviously, the Jism 2 babe must’ve made big moolah for just a few minutes of dancing. Butremember some time back, the babe had rubbished reports that she will be doing an item song in Anil Sharma’s Singh Saheb The Great starring Sunny Deol. This is what she said then, “No item numbers. Right now I am only focussing on Ragini MMS 2 and also PeTA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) ad.” Then why did Sunny change her mind… and also her focus?
The hot news surrounding the super hot babe is that she has finally agreed to do an item song in Sanjay Gupta’s Shootout At Wadala, produced by Ekta Kapoor. Knowing that the gangster drama is garnering good buzz all over, Sunny’s decision to shake a leg in the film could also be credited to her simultaneously working with Ekta in the much-anticipated horror flick Ragini MMS 2. If Ekta has asked her (read stated) to do the item song, then obviously she can’t say NO to her, right Sunny?
But then we wonder what made her say no to Anil Sharma’s film. Money issues? Whatever it is… ourkhabroo informed us that it was Sanjay Gupta’s idea to rope in Sunny for the song. The rehearsals of the dance sequence choreographed by Ahmed Khan are already underway and Ms Leone will be seen in a ghagra choli for the first time. So are you eagerly looking forward to see your fave Indo-Canadian pornstar doing the desi jhatkas and matkas?

When Barbara Mori first debuted alongside Hrithik Roshan in Kites, we thought that the beautiful Uruguayan-Mexican babe was here to stay. But after the dud that the movie turned out to be, and her rumoured shenanigans with Jr Roshan, she packed her bags and moved back to Uruguay. After that we didn’t hear from her. And the only time we did was when Barbara was battling cancer, and that she overcame the dreaded disease and worked in a documentary about it along with Indian and international personalities.
And now it seems that Barbara is giving her career in India a new lease of life. The hottie will be seen in an episode of a travel show titled Life Mein Ek Baar as a celebrity guest alongside model Archana Vijaya of Jhalak Dikhla Ja fame who is hosting the show. The episode featuring Barbara was shot in South Africa, so she won’t brace the Indian shores, only the airwaves! Well, that’s cool. At least one star wife can breathe easy now! Wink wink!
